Air NZ to withdraw Hong Kong-London services
By admin

Air New Zealand will withdraw its services between Hong Kong and London as it continues to focus on returning its international network to profitability.

The move, effective March 4, will see 70 cabin crew face the axe.

Chief executive Rob Fyfe said the decision would enable more capacity to be redeployed to its popular Los Angeles and San Francisco routes.

Meanwhile, the airline continues to implement an alliance-based network in the Pacific Rim region with the signing of a new strategic agreement with Cathay Pacific. Under the deal, the two airlines will codeshare on services between Hong Kong and New Zealand from January 31.
