Pan Pacific Hotels relaunches Singapore stay after $34m revamp
Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has followed the launch of its BELLUSTAR TOKYO property in May and Pan Pacific Orchard in June by opening the doors to the newly renovated Pan Pacific Singapore in the heart of Marina Bay.
Transformed over five months by FDAT Architects across all 790 rooms, Pan Pacific Singapore now offers new dining concept Pacific Emporium, destination bar PLUME and an arrival experience in the towering new Atrium Lobby which features soaring trees and the familiar sight of the hotel’s thoughtfully preserved iconic pods by CHADA Interior Design.
Choe Peng Sum, CEO, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said: “Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts is raising the bar as we enter a new era of hospitality focused on the evolving expectations of the modern traveller.
“Our newest properties showcase this vision of Graceful Luxury – the opening of Pan Pacific Orchard in June, the relaunch of Pan Pacific Singapore this month, and the success of Pan Pacific London, which has achieved the Forbes Five Star rating every year since it opened in 2021. With more flagship openings and new signature experiences in the pipeline, we believe that our elevated brand will resonate with and earn the trust of discerning travellers across the world.”
The new look Pan Pacific Singapore
Flagship property Pan Pacific Singapore’s S$30m (AU$34.32m) transformation showcases the brand’s new vision, with a suite of guest experiences.
“We are delighted to announce the completion of our final milestone in our Pan Pacific, Reimagined journey today. This endeavour was envisioned to honour Singapore’s exceptional culture and heritage, while enhancing the experience we offer to our valued guests,” Jeremy Aniere, general manager of Pan Pacific Singapore, said.
“All of us here at Pan Pacific Singapore are thrilled to continue upholding our commitment to delivering Pan Pacific’s signature graceful luxury and gracious hospitality.”
The jewel in the crown for the reimagined hotel is Pacific Emporium, a new dining and retail space that is home to authentic and innovative local flavours, artisanal produce, and specially curated gifting options from local brands and designers. The refurbishment also includes the opening of hotel’s new destination bar PLUME, renovated hotel rooms and suites, and the rejuvenated Ocean Ballroom, all specially designed to infuse Singapore’s unique character into every aspect of the property.
Divided into four distinct spaces, Pacific Emporium features a gastronomic tour of Singaporean flavours such as Peranakan Wagyu Beef Burgers, Heritage Chicken Rice and Lobster Laksa in The Kitchen, an elegant ambience for sampling cocktails, juices and more in The Bar, epicurean delights, fine charcuterie, gourmet cheeses and the finest patisserie in The Deli, and a curated collection of Singapore’s creativity and craftsmanship in The Gifting.
Elevated luxury and comfort are the focus of the hotel’s refurbished hotel rooms, with the Deluxe Rooms, Executive Marina Bay Rooms, and Premier Suite all redesigned.
As part of the refurbishment balcony sizes have been reduced to provide extra room space, while beds have been repositioned to maximise picturesque Marina Bay skyline views. Executive Marina Bay Room guests can also enjoy access to the self-service Studio 26. Open 24 hours on the 26th floor, it houses office equipment, complimentary morning and afternoon pastries, all-day beverages and light snacks, including specially curated cookies inspired by traditional Singapore flavours.
Pan Pacific Singapore features the brand’s elevated St. Gregory Spa, which offers specialised and traditional healing therapies ranging from Chinese Tui Na to Javanese massages and ancient Ayurvedic treatments. Focusing on four pillars of therapy, fitness, aesthetics and active ageing, the spa is a one-stop-shop for quality treatments, comprehensive fitness and wellness facilities, and links to medical professionals.
One of Singapore’s signature venues, the hotel’s Ocean Ballroom has also been updated. With capacity for 450 guests and the ability to transform into five intimate Ocean Rooms, the space features new luxury furnishings, a raised three-metre ceiling height, floor-to-ceiling windows, and technological enhancements.
First impressions count, and Pan Pacific Singapore’s new Grand Atrium and VIP Lounge have been transformed to welcome guests with lush greenery including a 130-year-old Bonsai tree centrepiece, floating lantern-like pods over a body of water, and timber walkways and bridges which pay tribute to the Singapore River, a vital element of Singapore’s history and prosperity.
