Scenic launches the 2024-25 Worldwide Discoveries Collection
With the recent launch of Scenic Eclipse II, the fleet of Discovery Yachts debuts the next era of expedition cruising, with a new voyages collection inviting guests to discover over 350 ports, in 49 countries, across all seven continents.
Guests can embark on the journey of a lifetime through the Americas, Antarctic Peninsula, Europe and the Mediterranean on board Scenic Eclipse. Or venture into the Southern Hemisphere to explore the remote East Antarctica, New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific, or further into Japan, Borneo and Indonesia on board Scenic Eclipse II.
The Worldwide Discoveries Collection which spans departures from October 2024 to December 2025, focuses on voyages in the southern hemisphere. These voyages will delve deeper into the unique cultures, visit unique landscapes, cruise to remote islands teeming with wildlife and historical sites.
“The expansion of our Scenic fleet to two Discovery Yachts, as well as the release of our new Worldwide Discoveries Brochure marks a major milestone in Scenic’s 37-year history,” Anthony Laver, Scenic Group, general manager Sales & Marketing APAC said.
“Our fleet of Discovery Yachts will journey to all seven continents giving guests even more unforgettable destinations and unrivalled discovery of remote destinations like the Kimberley, the West Coast of Australia and East Antarctica regions. Delivered with our signature world-class crew and Discovery Team, ultra-luxury experiences and state-of-the-art technology.”
In a significant opportunity for Australian travellers, Scenic Eclipse II will become the first Scenic ship ever to cruise in Australian waters, where the company was founded almost four decades ago. Giving Australian and New Zealand guests the option to depart from ports closer to home, like Hobart, Sydney, Queenstown, Darwin and Auckland for the first time in 2024 and 2025.
“With less than 12-months until Scenic Eclipse II arrives into the Sydney Harbour on 20th April 2024, we are seeing significant local demand for these ultra-luxury voyages, which are unlike any other ultra-luxury cruising experience in the region,” Laver said.
“Our new Discovery Yacht will then embark on her inaugural 9-Day Chairman’s Voyage: East Coast & Reefs, then continuing to circumnavigate Australia, before being based in Southern Hemisphere over the next two years.”
