CLIA’s live education showcase to tour Australia & New Zealand

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced its CLIA LIVE education series for 2023, bringing together travel agents for in-person training across Australasia.

Dates have been confirmed for events to be held in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Auckland, each providing a chance for CLIA members to gain sales insight into multiple cruise lines in the one forum.

CLIA LIVE provides a two-day seminar format in which representatives from the world’s ocean, river and expedition cruise lines gather to explain their latest initiatives and share product developments. The events suit both new-to-cruise travel agents as well as more experienced cruise specialists looking to update their knowledge.

CLIA Australasia director of membership & events Marita Nosic said this year would focus around the theme ‘cruising into the future’.

“Cruise lines are constantly evolving and introducing new innovations across their fleets, so this year’s CLIA LIVE is designed to help agents understand what’s new and what the future of cruising will look like.

“It’s an opportunity to learn about new on-board innovations and enhancements, changes to the guest experience, new ships and itineraries, and new environmental measures – and how they all create new sales opportunities.”

CLIA LIVE 2023 will be held between March and May:

Melbourne – Wednesday 29 March and Thursday 30 March, Oaks Melbourne on Market

Sydney – Tuesday 4 April and Wednesday 5 April, Rydges World Square

Adelaide – Tuesday 9 May and Wednesday 10 May, Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide

Perth – Tuesday 16 May and Wednesday 17 May, Pan Pacific Perth

Brisbane – Tuesday 23 May and Wednesday 24 May, Sofitel Brisbane Central

Auckland – Tuesday 30 May and Wednesday 31 May, Four Points by Sheraton Auckland

Tickets for the first two events in Melbourne and Sydney are available now and cost $55 inc GST, exclusive to CLIA members only, with the option to attend one or both days.

Attendees will receive 30 CLIA points per day.
