Expedia to power Accor’s website allowing easier flight add-ons

Expedia Group has announced that its White Label Template has been selected by Accor to launch its new Flight + Hotel site, allowing travellers to add flights to their hotel stay.

The template solution will launch in Australia later this year with the UK, France and Germany to follow.

“Accor is a long-standing partner and we are proud that it has placed its trust in Expedia Group’s technology and our team” said Ariane Gorin, president of Expedia for Business.

“By using Expedia Group’s Open World platform, Accor’s travellers will have access to our global supply of airlines along with our multi-lingual traveller support services, and will be able to earn Accor loyalty points in a seamless end-to-end experience.

“Accor itself will now be able to increase brand loyalty, grow revenues and attract the high-value package traveller.”

Powered by the Expedia Group Open World platform, Flight + Hotel allows Acocr travellers to attach flights to their hotel bookings with Expedia Group’s global supply of more than 500 airlines around the world.

This gives the traveller a seamless experience when booking their trip while allowing Accor to tap into high-value package travellers who on average cancel 75 per cent less, stay twice as long and book twice as early compared to non-package travellers.

Additionally, Accor travellers will now have access to Expedia Group’s traveller support and resources to help easily manage trips on Flight + Hotel.

Travellers have the choice to self-serve via an artificial intelligence-powered virtual agent, an online help centre for frequently asked questions, or multi-national, multi-lingual customer direct service via global contact centres.

According to Expedia Group’s upcoming Traveler Value Index 2023, loyalty programs are becoming increasingly important for travellers. More than half (53 per cent) say that it is more important to travel with their loyalty providers than before the pandemic.

The new partnership will drive engagement and lifetime value to Accor’s most loyal travellers by integrating its loyalty program, ALL – Accor Live Limitless. Serving as a hospitality expert and travel companion, ALL – Accor Live Limitless will continue to support and reward each member in researching and organising their next trip with a brand-new site dedicated to flight + hotel packages.

Travellers can create their package featuring Accor’s worldwide collection of quality hotel brands and then seamlessly pair it with the airline and flight time that best suits their trip.

ALL – Accor Live Limitless members will have the ability to not only save money but also maximise their points by earning loyalty points on both the hotel and flight portion of packages booked through the Flight + Hotel site.

The loyalty integration will include single sign-on authentication so ALL – Accor Live Limitless members can seamlessly use their Accor account to sign into Flight + Hotel to manage all parts of their trips in one place. Everything needed for the traveller is in one place to book with total peace of mind: zero-stress booking, year-round discounts, and maximum points.
