New floating venue chosen for NTIA 2015
By admin

The industry’s ‘night of nights’, the National Travel Industry Awards, will move in 2015 to Sydney’s largest anchored floating venue, the Dockside Pavilion Darling Harbour, AFTA confirmed.

Dockside Pavilion opened earlier this year, and is the first venue of its kind in Australia. Stretching 90m, the venue has a capacity of up to 1440 guests seated.

Qantas has once again been secured as the major sponsor for the event on July 18, which is also billed to introduce a suite of new award categories next year.

“AFTA places the NTIA as one of our most important activities in a business travel calendar and as NTIA grows and becomes more valuable to the industry every year we see the importance of a strong and appropriate awards program” AFTA chief executive, Jayson Westbury said.

Planning for the gala event is underway according to AFTA, with further details of the evening to be released in coming weeks.

The event has been held at The Hordern Pavilion in Sydney’s Moore Park for the past two years, to accommodate an influx of interest in guest attendance.
