Marriott Bonvoy is getting ready to join the biggest celebration of LGBTQIA+ communities and Pride during Sydney WorldPride 2023.
W Hotels, the trailblazing luxury lifestyle brand under the Marriott portfolio, has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion through a long-term partnership with Australia’s longest running LGBTQIA+ organisation, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras – which will this year, for the first time, be celebrated in conjunction with the world’s largest Pride celebration, WorldPride.
Sydney will be showcasing a seventeen-day extravaganza of more than 300 events featuring all the glitz and glamour of the WorldPride Festival. Landmark events include a world-class Human Rights Conference, opening and closing parties, a First Nations Gala Concert and the Pride March across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, along with some of the biggest names in music including Kylie Minogue and Nicole Scherzinger, and theatre and sporting events.
To celebrate, from 17 February to 5 March 2023, the suite of Marriott Bonvoy hotels across Sydney will be rolling out the pink carpet to welcome community members and travellers alike from all around the world – providing guests the opportunity to stay just footsteps from many of the key events in this global celebration of diversity.
Ready to welcome locals and guests from all over Australia and the world, Marriott Bonvoy’s Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection; Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel Circular Quay; Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park; Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Central Park; and Courtyard by Marriott Sydney North Ryde look forward to supporting this important global celebration of diversity providing their guests with the signature Marriott first-class service and placing them in the heart of all the WorldPride action.
Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection:
Located directly on the water over a dedicated wharf in Sydney’s historic Rocks precinct, the luxury Pier One Sydney Harbour offers a jaw-dropping panorama of the city’s most iconic sights with the Sydney Harbour Bridge proudly standing at its door. The 189-room heritage hotel offers a range of suites with private balconies, contemporary design, plush bedding and premium amenities coupled with Marriott International’s anticipatory 5-star service. The hotel is steps away from Barangaroo and Walsh Bay’s Theatre Wharves and easily accessible to all parts of Sydney WorldPride celebrations.
Over Sydney WorldPride, the hotel’s grand lobby and iconic Bar One will be adorned with rainbow florals, and a rainbow staircase ascending from the lobby to the bar where live DJs will take to the decks on Friday and Saturday afternoons from 4pm-7pm. Unforgettable dining at the award-winning Gantry restaurant will be ignited over the festival, with a themed cocktail menu. All tea and coffee orders will be accompanied with rainbow cookies for an added splash of colour.
Sydney’s favourite dog-friendly hotel also welcomes furry friends in their pet-friendly spaces, and all pups staying over WorldPride will get into the spirit with their own rainbow cravats!
