Visit Sunshine Coast announces new PR manager in Maddy Schilg

    Visit Sunshine Coast has appointed Maddy Schilg to the position of public relations manager, replacing Lauren Grounsell who has gone on maternity leave.

    The role will see Schilg work closely with travel media in Queensland and across Australia, as well as produce content to promote the destination.

    Schilg joins with extensive destination travel media experience, having recently returned home to Australia after a five-year stint in London. Her previous experience includes public relations roles at a range of agencies, including One Green Bean in London, where she worked on accounts including Tourism Australia, Qatar Tourism, TUI and dnata’s Gold Medal and Travel2 brands.

    “With so much to promote here on the Sunshine Coast, public relations plays a crucial role in our operations and we’re excited to welcome Maddy to the VSC family,” CEO, Visit Sunshine Coast, Matt Stoeckel, said. 

    Lauren Grounsell will return to the organisation later next year in a new marketing role, taking on the position of brand and content manager.
