Virtuoso Australia and New Zealand will welcome the arrival of AmaWaterways to the region following its launch announcement at this year’s Virtuoso Travel Week, luxury travel industry’s preeminent gathering in Las Vegas.

AmaWaterways arrival will give Australian and New Zealand travel advisors in the Virtuoso network immediate access to reserve high-value travellers on all AmaWaterways’ river cruise and land packages departing from January 2025 onward.

Having established a remarkable track record of delivering meticulously crafted guest experiences and building a longstanding partnership that originated in the U.S. in 2010, Virtuoso has solidified its position as AmaWaterways’ premier global partner.

The river cruise line’s expansion into the Australian and New Zealand markets opens Virtuoso member access to exceptional global commercials, tailored guest offerings that resonate with the regional market and enhanced consumer marketing initiatives.

Virtuoso’s existing partnership with AmaWaterways spans North and South America, Asia and Europe, and encompasses the river cruise line’s entire product range including Vietnam and Cambodia, Southern Africa, Egypt, Colombia and the rivers of Europe.

Additionally, Virtuoso members will benefit from AmaWaterways’ expansion with extended access to the Virtuoso Voyages program in region, by which they can offer exclusive benefits to their clients, including a dedicated onboard host and a choice of an additional benefit ranging in value from $500 per couple to several thousand dollars, depending on the sailing.

“We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to AmaWaterways as the latest addition to our esteemed group of preferred cruise partners in the region,” said Virtuoso general manager, Australia and New Zealand Fiona Dalton.

“AmaWaterways is a valuable Virtuoso partner that embodies the network’s commitment to exceptional travel experiences, which is evident in the cruise line’s impressive track record in being awarded Best River Cruise Line at Virtuoso Travel Week for nine consecutive years. As a launch partner for their expansion to Australia and New Zealand, we are collaborating closely with their executive team to fully harness the potential of our global partnership.”

Said Gary Murphy, co-owner of AmaWaterways, “For the entire AmaWaterways family, this is an exciting opportunity for now we get to promote Ama’s entire product range in one of the most important markets in the industry, Australia and New Zealand and just as importantly this means I can add Australia on my travel schedule more frequently. Both will bring me great joy.”
