    The Walshe Group has announced the appointment of two seasoned professionals to pivotal roles within their destination client roster.

    Effective immediately, Anna Riedel assumes the role of PR & trade account manager, Australia & New Zealand for Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania (HTO), while Antonio Khattar steps into the position of trade account manager, Australia & New Zealand, for New York City Tourism + Conventions.

    Anna Riedel brings 15 years of dedicated travel industry experience to this newly formed position. For the past two years, she has successfully served in a dual capacity as PR Executive for HTO and trade account manager for New York City Tourism + Conventions. Her new role will see her play a pivotal part in shaping HTO’s overall marketing strategy, brand management, and fostering relationships with media and trade partners.

    Riedel remarked “I am excited to step into the PR & trade account manager role for HTO. The Hawaiian Islands hold a special place in my heart, and I am excited to share the aloha spirit with trade and media. With its deep-rooted history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes, promoting these islands is such a privilege.”

    Antonio Khattar, an employee of The Walshe Group for the last four years, has spent almost 20 years in the travel industry and has extensive industry experience in the inbound, online, retail and the corporate travel sector. Through his experience, Khattar will continue to raise the awareness of NYCs five boroughs and increase visitation to NYC.

    Khattar stated “I’m thrilled to taking on the role of NYC Tourism + Conventions as we continue to promote the wide range of luxury and unique experiences that can be found across its 5 boroughs. We have a strong love for NYC, and it is a destination that continues to captivate travellers from this market, whether it is their first or repeat visit.”
