The Myconian Collection launches newest luxury hotel in the Greek Islands, ‘O’

After a successful debut season in 2022, O by Myconian Collection, the latest addition to the luxurious portfolio of boutique hotels has started its 2023 early, opening doors on 30 April to accommodate demand.

The first hotel located on the island’s highly desirable Ornos Bay area, just 3.6 km south of lively Mykonos Town, the new 5-star property impeccably blends its sublime setting with spectacular design, refined leisure facilities, authentic, curated experiences and the warm, personalised hospitality which has made the Myconian Collection famous since its founding family built the very first hotel on the island back in 1979.

Long regarded as one of the most upscale, chic destinations in the Greek Isles, Mykonos is beloved for its breathtaking blue water, Insta-worthy beaches, fabulous food, designer shopping and unique blend of authentic local culture and cosmopolitan ambience, making it a favourite with everyone from celebrities to savvy travellers keen to explore genuine Greek culture.

As the portfolio’s first beachfront property, O by Myconian Collection offers guests direct access to one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, where Mykonos’ best waterfront bars, restaurants and water sports providers are all just steps away. For those who prefer to perch poolside, the Oasis pool zone is home to soft sunbeds shaded by palm trees and parasols, with complimentary treats on offer all day long. Come sunset, the poolside deck transforms into an alfresco nightspot, complete with live music, a lively ambience, and glittering views.

Drawing on a contemporary design philosophy deeply rooted in the timeless appeal of classic Greek island life, the property’s 65 guestrooms and suites have been designed with sustainability in mind using natural materials such as wood, stone, and marble, often installed in their raw state to show off their striking natural beauty. Bright and airy, every room boasts a private, furnished verandah or balcony inviting guests to soak up the sunshine, with many also offering the option of a private pool to cool off after a day’s exploring. Rooms range in size from 33m² to 135m² to accommodate between two and six adults.

True to Myconian Collection’s renowned culinary culture, the property offers superb dining options from breakfast until supper at venues including the poolside O Bar, as well as adventurous gastronomic creations at O Restaurant, where exceptionally fresh seafood and seasonal local produce are perfectly paired with international wines and rare local vintages.

Guests at O by Myconian Collection are invited to slow down and embrace a more relaxed pace of life, and the onsite O Wellness Spa is just the spot to help travellers unwind.

Offering a comprehensive selection of spa treatments using exclusive Elemis and Ligne St Barth products, special events including full moon yoga on the beach, and a well-equipped gym and expert-led private and group training sessions, the O Wellness Spa is the perfect place to press restart on a new health and fitness regime, or to just surrender to indulgent treatments and well-deserved pampering in professional hands.

Additionally, guests at O by Myconian Collection enjoy reciprocal rights at the group’s 10 other luxury properties across the island, which means they can essentially treat themselves to multiple exclusive holidays in the one stay by visiting bars and restaurants in some of Mykonos’ most iconic locations, as well as dipping into countless pools, booking sessions at myriad spa facilities, and accessing the expert skills of the hotel collection’s wedding and event teams.
