Capella Lodge Offers a Suite Upgrade and Free Flights to Paradisewith Stay-7-Pay-6 Package
Lord Howe Island’s acclaimed Capella Lodge has announced a bonus suite upgrade for a limited period as part of its popular Fly Free Stay 7 Pay 6 deal, which offers holidaymakers free flights and a free night in the island’s subtropical paradise.
From May 20 to August 31, 2017, guests who book the Capella Lodge Fly Free, Stay 7 Pay 6 package can stay seven nights for the price of six and also receive free return QantasLink flights* from Sydney or Brisbane. As an extra bonus, guests who book the package before May 7, 2017 will also receive a complimentary suite upgrade.
The seven-night package is priced from $4500* per person twin share, including free flights, a bonus night, gourmet breakfasts, sunset drinks and canapés, open bar with premium wines and spirits from 6pm, dinners with inspired daily menu, non alcoholic beverages, selected in-suite bar, mountain bikes and island airport transfers.
Cathay Pacific launch Economy Class Sale on Flights to Shangai
The sale is on all flights from Australia to Shanghai, departing 1 May to 30 November 2017, allowing customers to experience the popular attractions during the Summer-Autumn seasons. Flights start from AUD$675 and must be booked by 24 April 2017.

Qantas puts Aussie Art on Business Class Amenity Kits
Qantas has teamed up with some of Australia’s leading artists, photographers and digital influencers to feature their work on the airline’s international Business class amenity kitsfrom the 1 May.
With artworks named Fairy Bread, 7000 Ironbarks and Maaate, the initiative called ‘Qantas Curates’ has seen the airline work with professional Australian contemporary art curators to select artworks from 16 Australians specialising in a variety of different styles including pop culture, photography, fine art, abstract landscape, Indigenous art and textile design. Two new designs will be launched every few months.
Singapore Airlines and SilkAir sign Codeshare Agreement with Air France-KLM
Singapore Airlines and regional subsidiary SilkAir have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Air France-KLM to codeshare on each other’s flights with effect from 27 April 2017. Under the agreement, which is subject to regulatory approvals, Singapore Airlines will add its ‘SQ’ designator code to Air France-operated flights beyond Paris to 10 destinations – Aberdeen, Bordeaux, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Marseille, Newcastle, Nice and Toulouse.
Air France will in turn add its ‘AF’ designator code to Singapore Airlines-operated flights beyond Singapore to Melbourne and Sydney in Australia, as well as on SilkAir-operated flights to Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia, and Phuket in Thailand.
Singapore Airlines and Air France-KLM will later explore the opportunity to expand the codeshare to other airlines within their respective groups. The agreement is intended to provide customers more options and seamless connectivity when travelling between Australia, Southeast Asia and Europe. The airlines will also explore the possibility for Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer and Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue members to earn and redeem miles when travelling on the codeshare flight segments.
Qantas open New Lounge at Coffs Harbour Airport
Passengers travelling from Coffs Harbour Regional Airport now have access to a brand new Qantas lounge. The new facility caters for 40 passengers and is 25 per cent larger than the previous lounge. It features a bright and fresh palette to complement the natural timber finishes that have become the signature design feature of Qantas Regional Lounges around Australia.
The lounge also features a multi-purpose work station, power and data charging outlets and a refreshment bar. The new Qantas Regional Lounge will be open 90 minutes prior to the first flight of the day until the last evening departure.
Eligible passengers include Business Class passengers, Qantas Club Frequent Flyers and their guests, Qantas Frequent Flyer members holding Chairmans Lounge, Platinum one, Platinum and Gold status, eligible oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members, eligible Emirates Platinum and Gold Skyward customers and eligible China Eastern Platinum and Gold Eastern Miles customers.

Wendy Wu Tours, recently hosted an agent famil to India for first time visitors to discover what attracts a growing number of Australians to this vibrant destination.
Hosted by Aaron Phillips, Wendy Wu Tours’ specialist in tailor-made India arrangements, the itinerary was a tailored version of Wendy Wu’s Golden Triangle tour over seven days, perfect for a first time visitor. It featured the main highlights including the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, renowned for its forts and palaces and Agra, home to the majestic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The group ended their journey visiting the many highlights of Delhi.
Feedback from the participating agents was extremely positive on all aspects- the country as a destination, Wendy Wu Tours services on the ground and the opportunity to get first-hand knowledge of selling points to assist clients with their bookings. It was encouraging that all agents made note of their desire to return and explore the country further.
