Rail Europe appoints Sandy Battle to new sales development manager role for APAC

    Rail Europe has appointed Sandy Battle as its sales development manager for APAC in a newly created role for the Perth-based travel doyen.

    Battle will work closely with key account managers James Hooper and Grant Robertson in ANZ to ensure all sales partners are well connected, supported and rewarded for selling European train journeys, while also creating and identifying new opportunities across APAC.

    “Travel to Europe is not slowing down,” APAC GM Richard Leonard said. “And as demand continues to grow for train travel, we need to ensure our team is in a strong position to effectively support our expanding network of travel advisors. Sandy has joined our team at a critical time as enquiries and activities are ramping up across the region.” 

    Having worked in BDM roles in travel for more than 27 years with the likes of Globus, Jetset/Travelworld, Helloworld and Wendy Wu Tours among others, Sandy brings a wealth of experience in lead generation, partner relationship management and strategic initiatives.

    ANZ advisors can look forward to additional on-the-ground support, while learning about Rail Europe’s evolving high-tech offering and expanding portfolio of products.
