PONANT’s got the flights covered on select Japan itineraries
Edited by Travel Weekly

PONANT has launched an exclusive offer for Australian and New Zealand markets with inclusive flights on select 2024 Japanese itineraries sailing through Kyushu’s western islands between Kagoshima and Fukuoka, as well as the islands between Naha and Keelung (Taiwan) in southern Japan.

Travellers can take advantage of the flight-inclusive expedition packages available on six itineraries, with included return economy flights available from major Australian capital cities, as well as Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington in New Zealand. As part of this offer, business class upgrades will be available to guests from $2,999 per person plus taxes.

Starting from $7,590 per person, the selection features six itineraries including two new expeditions to the western part of Kyushu Island where guests can discover brand-new ports of call in the Koshikijima Islands, on Kamigoto as well as South Korea’s Jeju Island, and the island region of Amakusa.

PONANT’s subtropical itineraries in Southern Japan offer guests the opportunity to snorkel around the renowned coral reefs of Zamami Island as well as the possibility of diving with an experienced instructor on board select itineraries.

Guests will gain an insight into the history, culture and the diversity of flora and fauna from PONANT’s expedition team, including gaining privileged access to the region’s UNESCO sites such as the islands of Yakushima and Iriomote – nature sanctuaries with a biodiversity unlike any other in the world. Certain itineraries also offer a local distillery visit and opportunity to taste the local cuisine of Okinawa.

“Our recent expansion into full travel services by providing included flights, has not only streamlined the planning and travel experience of our guests, but also the booking experience of our travel partners,” says Deb Corbett, PONANT general manager sales and marketing Asia Pacific.

“After the success of our Kimberley 2024 inclusive flight and transfer offer, we continue to offer our esteemed guests unique and inclusive itineraries, this time opening doors to unspoiled landscapes and cultural experiences that have yet to be discovered by most travellers in this wonderful country that is Japan.”

The recently launched flight offer can be booked from 18 October 2023 to 30 November 2023 – or until sold out.
