The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has just wrapped up two lively agent educational and networking events in Sydney at The Swissotel and in Perth at The Hyatt Regency.

More than 220 guests attended the events with JNTO showcasing over 30 top Japanese suppliers.

Both events opened with a greeting from JNTO senior director Nobuyuki Mori followed by a short speech from the consulate general – Yasushi Naito. In Perth, ANA presented the new Perth/Tokyo direct air service announcement and Harriett Bougher – JNTO business development manager provided an update of JNTO activities in market.

Throughout the evening, agents had five scheduled appointments lasting ten minutes each, which were pre-assigned based on their registered interests, allowing them to learn and discuss directly with suppliers and destinations. Networking opportunities throughout ensured that agents had the ability to connect with all attending suppliers.

Perth attendees were treated to performances by the Okinawan Dance Group presenting traditional Okinawa cultural dancers. An invitation to join in and dance with the group at the end of the evening made for a special Japanese dance experience for all.

Prizes were given away at both events which included Japanese cooking classes and Japanese spirits.

Linkd Tourism was the event manager for both events.
