Marriott Bonvoy adds new luxury offering in Phuket to Le Méridien portfolio
Marriott Bonvoy has expanded its global portfolio with the addition of the brand new Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort, introducing a new era of culturally infused hospitality to Phuket’s stunning sunset coast.
Nestled in the golden sands of Mai Khao Beach and surrounded by the natural beauty of Sirinat National Park, the resort provides a serene tropical hideaway for guests to unwind in style.
“We are delighted to start welcoming guests to Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort, as we continue to introduce our industry-leading brands to Thailand’s most desirable destinations,” area VP (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar), Marriott International, Jakob Helgen, said.
“With its stunning seafront location and outstanding facilities for couples, families and out-of-town events, this sophisticated resort is set to become a popular choice for domestic and international travellers who want to discover a different side of this popular island.”
Following a refurbishment and a rebranding inspired by the era of glamorous travel, Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort features 244 bright and inviting rooms and suites.
Rooms range from 41 to 110 square metres in size and are designed in a contemporary local style, with a balcony or terrace in every room and views of the gardens, pool or sea.
A selection of family rooms with bunk beds are also available, while the newly-reimagined resort has introduced brand-new pool access rooms, private cabana rooms, two-bedroom suites and private pool suites.
Travellers will also have direct access to Mai Khao Beach, which set the stage for beachfront yoga and water sports such as paddle-boarding and kayaking.
Throughout their stay, guests can grab light bites, cool drinks and locally-inspired snacks at The Nook, the resort’s casual café, while Ocean Kitchen, the signature Mediterranean restaurant is the spot for guests to savour an appetising selection of freshly-prepared European and Middle Eastern cuisine, including prime grilled meats, fresh seafood, wood-fired pizzas and healthy dishes, accompanied with craft and draft beers, fine wines, creative cocktails, tropical juices and more.
Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort also offers a range of event spaces including a 214.5-sqm ballroom, which can be transformed into three smaller meeting spaces, with two additional intimate spaces, all of which are equipped with cutting-edge facilities.
“I am delighted to welcome the world to Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort. Blissfully secluded yet easily accessible, this is a destination that will immerse guests in a world of natural beauty and cultural charm,” GM, Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort, Jirarat Ninpadub, said.
“From our sensitive design philosophy, which highlights Phuket’s heart and soul, to our curated experiences, we hope to surround visitors with the authentic spirit of Phuket.
“By incorporating eco-friendly solutions, including rooftop solar panels to power the property, we are also helping to create a sustainable future for this idyllic island.”
To celebrate its launch, Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort has revealed “Sip, Savour and Stay” – an exclusive opening offer that lets travellers capture the spirit of an endless summer from just AUD $260 per room per night.
The package includes two welcome drinks, daily breakfast for two, an Au Soleil beach picnic featuring a European or Thai meal and a bottle of sparkling wine, one complimentary resort activity, one hour of paddle-boarding, and an Art Programme comprising two tickets to the Peranakan Museum. Guests will also enjoy a 10% discount at all F&B outlets and 20% off at the spa, and kids will be inspired by Le Méridien Family Programme, including a welcome amenity.
