Luxury Escapes teams up with original MasterChef’s for new Indian foodie escape
Edited by Travel Weekly

Luxury Escapes has launched the newest once-in-a-lifetime experience in its Signature Series with a nine-day foodie-focused tour of India.

The announcement follows the major success of its inaugural Vietnam foodie tour, with the limited tickets selling out in less than 24 hours.

Building on the momentum of the sell-out debut, Luxury Escapes has again teamed up with former MasterChef judges Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston to create an experience like no other.

Luxury Escapes is known for giving customers more with every booking, so not only will lucky travellers hunt down some of the best food in the country, they’ll also stay in some of India’s top hotels, including the iconic Oberoi Amarvilas Agra with guaranteed views of the Taj Mahal.

“We are incredibly excited to be teaming up with Gary and Matt for another unbelievable Luxury Escapes Signature Series,” CEO & founder, Luxury Escapes, Adam Schwab, said.

“After the response to the Vietnam tour, we can’t wait to offer a once-in-a-lifetime India experience, tailor-made for food lovers”.

The Signature Series is perfectly timed with the recent surge in ‘foodie tourism’. The Luxury Escapes Travel Trends report showed that 58 per cent of travellers are planning food-inspired trips in 2024.

Gary Mehigan shared his excitement about the upcoming tour, “As a food and travel fanatic, the process of designing these tours with Luxury Escapes has been a dream come true,” he, said.

“India poses endless opportunities when it comes to food and culture so Matt and I can’t wait to dive in and see what we discover.”

Matt Preston encouraged foodies to set their alarms for 9 am on 19 March so they don’t miss out.

“We’ll have boundless amounts of fun eating our way through the country, so if you’re interested, get in quick!” Preston said.
