Flight Centre hires two key execs for independent brands

Long-time Industry leader Sue Graham has rejoined the Flight Centre family as the new global leader of product for its independent brands.

Alongside Graham, the FCTG Independent global team has welcomed Vanessa Whitaker in a new role as global supply leader.

Both product leaders have been hand-selected by Danielle Galloway, FCTG Independent’s global managing director to join the team as the independent business continues its growth trajectory across the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.

Graham re-joins Flight Centre after a long career holding senior roles at Helloworld Travel, CT Partners, Travelocity, CiEvents and Jetset Travelworld.

“We’re thrilled to have Sue join our global leadership team as we continue to go from strength to strength in the procurement and design of our global product marketplace, uniquely built for our growing global network of independent travel agents and agencies,” Galloway said.

“She has expansive international experience and strong business relationships across the travel industry, which complement our team perfectly.”

With more than 35 years of travel industry experience, Whitaker joined Flight Centre in July 2021 on the global land supply team after having held leading roles at MTA and TripADeal.

“Vanessa also brings incredible experience and insight to our team. Both of these women bring with them a detailed knowledge of the independent space, enabling them to hit the ground running and propel our business forward to deliver a world-leading product range for independent travel agencies,” Galloway continued.

“Our leadership team has developed a clear vision for growth and plans to deliver the most competitive independent travel agency offering available. Sue and Vanessa are the perfect additions to the team to drive our product and procurement strategy forward around the world.”
