Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef has bolstered its commercial team with four key new appointments.

Leading the new-look commercial team is David Janz who brings a wealth of experience to his new role as general manager – sales & marketing including time with Starwood Hotels in Australia and the UK where he worked his way through the ranks to become global account director before heading to W Bali as director of sales & marketing.

“I’m so excited to be part of the Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef team,’ Janz, said.

“The island has so much going for it which needs to be shared far and wide – from the 200m Living Reef, the amazing work our team is doing to protect the Reef, idyllic wedding chapel and event spaces, boundless energy of our General Manager and the incredible culinary vision of our Executive Chef, Craig Robertson.

“I am thrilled to be part of the new commercial team because we all share the same passion and drive to make Daydream Island one of the landmarks in the Whitsundays which we know it will be.”

Joining David in the new commercial team is Tayla Scannell who joins as marketing manager after managing social media at InterContinental Double Bay and previously overseeing marketing activities for start-ups, e-commerce businesses and boutique brands.
