CATO announces World Earth Day luncheon in Brisbane

The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) today announced a lunch event to celebrate World Earth Day at the Calile Hotel, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane on Friday 21 April 2023.

World Earth Day is an annual celebration that has been recognised for more than 50 years, and raises awareness of the need to protect Earths natural resources for future generations, a topic close to the foundation of all CATO members.

“As the peak industry body for the land-supply sector, it is important that we take a lead in highlighting the need for a sustainable and responsible approach to travel,” said Brett Jardine, managing director of CATO.

“At our lunch time event, guests will be inspired by leaders from across the travel industry in a thought provoking and impactful panel discussion, designed to educate and stimulate further discussion.”

“We are delighted to confirm G Adventures as the major sponsor for the event with the Italian National Tourist Board and Hurtigruten as supporting sponsors. I would like to acknowledge these organisations for their support and commitment to this important day, in addition to applauding their efforts in this area” added Jardine.

The event is open to all members of the travel industry, being held for the first time in Queensland, with tickets available now at $135 per individual or $1,350 for a table of ten. This includes a two course meal, beverages and post event networking.
