Carnival Cruise Line nurses deliver baby on Emirates flight

It’s the crossover you’ve all been waiting for.

What do you get when two Carnival Cruise Line nurses board an Emirates flight? Apparently, a bouncing baby girl and a very happy new mum.

The two staff members, nurses Christine Anne and John, were on board a repatriation flight from the Carnival Breeze cruise ship over the weekend travelling from London to Manila when a fellow passenger went into labour at 37,000 feet.

According to a Facebook post shared by Carnival Cruise Line ambassador John Heald, the two nurses responded to a PA announcement requesting medical personnel to assist in an inflight situation, and delivered a “very special Father’s Day gift to a very surprised family”.

“Mother and baby girl are doing fine. And her name? Sky,” Heald wrote.

“Christine Anne and John were supposed to be on another flight a few days earlier, but apparently it was all meant to be.

“All of us at Carnival express our pride and appreciation to Christine Anne and John, and a lifetime of good fortune [for] baby Sky.”
