On The Go Tours joins #SoloSeptember Campaign to support solo travellers
On The Go Tours, the award-winning tour operator specialising in locally-led group tours and tailor-made holidays to worldwide destinations, has joined an industry-wide campaign this September to provide better deals and opportunities for solo travellers.
The #SoloSeptember campaign aims to establish a coalition of businesses, such as Travelzoo, offering discounts and deals to the increasing number of people choosing to holiday alone.
In June, a Travelzoo survey revealed that 96 per cent of Australians have either travelled alone or are considering doing so in the future, showing solo travel is no longer a minority choice. Despite this growth, 78 per cent of Australian’s defer travelling alone because of perceived high cost with the biggest deterrent being the cost of single supplements.
On The Go Tours will be offering solo travellers fantastic deals on their most popular tours and destinations from 1st September until the 30th September.
Club Med launches first Asia-Pacific Snow Holiday Report
Club Med, the Premium All-Inclusive operator and global ski holiday leader has unveiled Asia Pacific’s first snow holiday* report, identifying key insights and influences that drive snow holidays across 11 markets with 5,500 respondents from China to Australia.
With the support of independent market research specialist, Insightzclub, the 2018 report for Asia Pacific maps out a diverse, sophisticated and affluent market of travellers who are becoming avid snow hunters.
Key Findings:
- 200 million people from Asia Pacific have taken a snow holiday in the last three years
- While ski and snowboard are core to the snow holiday, a large variety of other activities are considered by Asia Pacific travellers
- Millennials are driving the Asia Pacific market
- Japan and South Korea destinations top the region for snow holidays, while Switzerland is a surprising top 3 destination
- Summer mountain holidays are also growing in popularity
