An authentic Fijian experience with Excite Holidays!

Fiji1

Excite Holidays and Fiji Airways recently treated a group of agents from the Express Travel Group to an authentic Fijian experience to celebrate the inaugural Fiji Airways flight from Adelaide to Nadi.

Over three days, with the help of Tourism Fiji, the group were shown all that this incredible destination has to offer. The agents stayed at the stunning DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji at Sonaisali Island, where they enjoyed cocktails by the pool and indulged in all that the resort has to offer. The group also had the pleasure of visiting the breathtaking and newly-opened Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, as well as the luxurious Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. All were met with raving reviews and plans to return!

During their time in Fiji, the agents embarked on a culinary adventure, enjoying delicious local cuisine as well as incredible sunrises and sunsets. They even had the opportunity to take part in a SeaSpray Sailing Adventure thanks to South Sea Cruises, which they said was a trip highlight! The agents boarded their vessel at Mana Island and spent the day exploring the crystal clear waters, the stunning beaches and beautiful lagoons of the Mamanuca Islands. The agents also had a great time getting to know the locals over a delicious lunch.

The trip was hosted by Excite Holidays’ very own Paul Groundwater, with Lesieli Fatai from Fiji Airways, Lucy Hunter from Express Travel Group and Kara Nelson from Tourism Fiji all in attendance.

Easy Travel Insurance recognises mental health sufferers deserve quality travel insurance

It may come as a surprise to many Australians that clients who develop a mental illness after they bought a travel insurance policy and were forced to cancel their trip or change their plans, or who develop a mental illness while on a trip, were not covered by their travel insurer.

That remains the case with the majority of travel insurance companies in Australia, but according to Easy Travel Insurance MD, David Ringsell, that has all changed with travel insurance market leader, Easy Travel Insurance, through its comprehensive, quality range of travel insurance polices.

“It always seemed rather an anomaly to me that the onset of a mental illness that caused a change of plans or cancellation, or that happened during a trip, was not covered, whereas other illnesses would be, with in fact mental illness remaining uncovered even today by most travel insurance companies”, Mr Ringsell said.

Mr Ringsell said that he was particularly pleased that Easy Travel Insurance now offers policies that cover mental illness before and during a trip, with Mr Ringsell adding that the decision to make these changes eradicate the anomaly he has been very much concerned about for some time.

Amadeus launches new marketplace for Destination Content

170710 Amadeus - ADC Homepage tours

With a myriad of adventures and experiences awaiting travellers, the tours and activities market is booming. Travel activities account for 9% of global travel revenue and this segment is growing faster than the total travel market.

Thanks to partnerships with City Discovery (a VELTRA® company), TurboJET, World Airport Transfer, and Jayride, Amadeus Destination Content offers in excess of 9,000 unique tours and activities, airport transfers for more than 1,000 airports worldwide, and ferry services for major destinations in Asia Pacific.

The new marketplace allows travel agents to offer their travellers a complete and personalised journey in addition to saving time, money (10 per cent lower than retail price), and having a peace of mind.
