The milder weather and sunny skies of autumn are luring more roadtrippers to the outback again. To inspire adventure, far west NSW operator, Out of the Ordinary Outback, is offering caravanners and campers a free night and discounted rates at its flagship property in Broken Hill.

Closer and more accessible to major cities, the NSW outback is a magnet for roadtrips with the area’s sprawling sand dunes, red sands, rugged beauty, big skies, colourful characters and lack of crowds a perfect recipe for adventure. Big, clear night skies filled with celestial gems are also a highlight.

From May 1 to July 31, 2024, caravanners and campers staying at Out of the Ordinary Outback’s dune-nestled Broken Hill Outback Resort can stay on a site for four nights but just pay for three. From May-July, powered sites are available from $40 a night at Broken Hill Outback Resort, which boasts its own outback pub offering hearty meals and refreshing ales. There are also complimentary snacks with other roadtrippers around the campfire from 5pm each day. Rates normally start at $45 a night.

Broken Hill boasts character-filled pubs, cafes, hilltop sculptures, art galleries, space observatories, indigenous culture and rugged outback scenery including the wild gorges and ancient rock art of Mutawintji National Park, the ghostly outpost of Silverton and the sweeping beauty and abundant birdlife of Menindee Lakes. To take advantage of the stay-for-four-pay-for-three deal, use the code S34N when booking through Out of the Ordinary Outback on www.outoftheordinaryoutback.com.au/caravanning-deal or 1300 679 688.
