Agents invited to reserve their seat to win a trip to Canada

Registration has opened for the annual Canada Corroboree 2017 showcasing the best new experiences in Canada.

Taking place in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney during February 2017, hundreds of travel agents have the chance to network with 29 Canadian destination and supplier representatives, and will go in the draw to win one of four trips to Canada, plus multiple land-only prizes.

“Canada Corroboree is an outstanding opportunity for the Australian travel industry to gain first-hand information about the latest tourism products, which they can then pass on to their clients,” Nathan McLoughlin, Director, Trade, Destination Canada GSA said.

“This year’s theme is Celebrate Canada as 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of Confederation and we are pleased to have new partners from Manitoba and Atlantic Canada attending for the first time.”

Canada Corroboree will take on a new theatre-style seating format, allowing each Canadian representative to effectively showcase the wonders, sights and experiences in their destination or product and reveal how their region will commemorate this significant anniversary.

“We’re excited to have television personality, Trevor Cochrane, as MC for the roadshow,” says Nathan.

“It’s set to be an evening of humour, entertainment and inspiration as we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday and go on a journey of discovery together through Canada’s diverse wildlife, landscape and new urban offerings.”

Travel agents will be given the opportunity to have independent discussions with the Canadian exhibitors before and after the formal presentations, with travel agent evening events running in 4 different locations around Australia from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

“We strongly encourage travel agents throughout Australia to register now for their local Corroboree show to avoid missing out on this key industry event.”
