Tourism Australia has rolled out the latest phase of its There’s Nothing Like Australia campaign to the Japanese market.

Minister for tourism Martin Ferguson launched the campaign in Tokyo on Friday, revealing it would feature a heavy focus on social and digital media in addition to broadcast partnerships with Tokyo’s TBS and Osaka’s MBS television stations.

“Through great broadcast partnerships, as well as strong partnerships with state and territory tourism organisations, airlines and Japanese travel agencies, we’ll be able to show why there’s nothing like Australia to more Japanese consumers,” he said.

Ferguson highlighted an increase in funding for Tourism Australia’s marketing activity in Japan this financial year to come from the Australian Government’s Asia Marketing Fund.

“We will be spending significant dollars to ensure that as Japan’s tourism industry begins to rebuild, Australia’s world class tourism experiences will be at the forefront of Japanese travellers’ minds,” he said.
