The Wiggles hopped aboard Pacific Pearl today to mark the official launch of P&O Cruises' role as official sponsor of the Australia Day Sydney Harbour program in 2013 and 2014.

On January 26th, Pacific Pearl will spend the day moored in the harbour, with passengers in prime position for the festivities which include a 2.2km swimming race, the Tall Ships Parade and Australia Day Regatta.

Speaking at the launch, P&O Cruise senior vice president Tammy Marshall said the decision to sponsor the activities was an easy one.

"Our link with this harbour goes all the way back to the 19th century when the first P&O mail steamer, Chusan, arrived in Sydney in 1852 and caused a sensation," she said.

"We've now been cruising from Sydney for 80 years so we're delighted to support such a fantastic celebration on such a magnificent harbour."
