Scenic Tours sets sight on France

Scenic Tours has launched its 2015 Europe River Cruising program, with the latest addition of two next generation Scenic ‘Space-Ships’ and a new itinerary to World Heritage Listed Bordeaux in France.

Due to popular demand over the past year, the 2015 program includes more river cruising throughout Europe, in particular France.

“We are still experiencing extraordinary growth on the popular Amsterdam to Budapest route and our expansion in France, where we are tripling capacity, is to meet consumer demand from repeat cruisers,” Scenic Tours director Glen Moroney said.

The Scenic Opal and Scenic Jasper, both sailing the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, joins the Scenic ‘Space-Ship’ fleet in 2015, which boast the largest suites on the river complete with private balcony. Both ships also feature a new vitality pool, with a plunge pool on one side and a jet pool on the other.

The fleet is the next generation of river cruisers, and brings the total number of ships to eleven.

The new Bordeaux itinerary gives guests the chance to experience famous wineries, Gothic architecture, and riverside hamlets over ten days.

An added incentive to board these ‘Space-Ships’ is the new culinary experience, ‘Shop with a Chef.’ Guests are given the chance to join their chef on a guided tour of the local food market, and enjoy the regional dishes prepared with the produce that evening.

The new Scenic Tours 2015 Europe River Cruises brochure is out now.
