Sales slow after strong start

Harvey World Travel has forecast a solid first half of the calendar year despite a sales slowdown.

Managing director David Rivers described business in January and February as “absolutely amazing”. But March has slowed, he said.
“It’s come off a bit so we’ve gone from being frenetic to just being busy,” Rivers told Travel Today.
Notwithstanding the general challenges facing retail, the first half should be “reasonably solid” across the network.
The improvement come off the back of a weak last quarter of 2011.
