Independent Travel Group has announced that this year’s Business Forum will be held in Hawaii.

The event will run from November 13 to 16 in Waikiki, and is expected to attract a record number of members and suppliers.

 

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has announced that the Survey of Tourist Accommodation will be cut, proving a major setback for the hospitality sector, according to Tourism Accommodation Australia.

The ABS announced the cessation of the survey after cuts to its funding, which they estimate to be $50 million over the next three years.

“If we are to continue attracting foreign investment into hotel and tourism infrastructure development in Australia, we require the most up to date and thorough statistics,” TAA managing director Rodger Powell said.

 

United Airlines has launched its 2014/15 ski incentive program, expanding to include resorts in British Columbia, Canada.

Participating agents across Australia and New Zealand who book United Airlines tickets from June 5 to August 8 2014 will be in the running to win one of 10 places on an all-expense paid, educational ski trip to some of the best ski destinations in North America.

 

Travelmarvel has a range of new agent incentives for agents who make bookings during June and July.
