New partnership adds to AAT Kings North Queensland offering
By admin

AAT Kings and Queensland’s Down Under Tours have formed a commercial partnership, pledging to grow the Cairns and the Tropical North Queensland tourism market in the coming years.

Down Under Tours will remain an independent company under the management control of founders James and Gordon Dixon.

The strategic shareholding in Down Under Tours is something AAT Kings managing director Anthony Hayes says provides the “missing piece of the Australian puzzle for us.”

According to Hayes, AAT Kings is now positioned to better provide a complete package to its customers and industry partners worldwide, adding to the depth of experiences and destinations AAT Kings already offers throughout the rest of Australia and New Zealand.

Down Under Tours director James Dixon expressed his delight with the partnership which still allows them to remain an independent, Cairns based company.

“The potential benefits of our new partnership are obvious, but maintaining our local expertise and management were paramount to the agreement going ahead,” Dixon said.

Stressing it is “business as usual” for all partners, the two companies will be working together to better coordinate schedules, tour packages and strategy.
