Mum's the word: Travel Counsellors compete for charity

On Mother’s Day more than 20 travel counsellors and office staff from across Australia took part in the Mother’s Day Classic 4km and 8km running and walking events, in an effort to raise more than $4 million for Breast Cancer Research.

“Everyone got so involved, even though we were in different states – we all felt we were in it together. At Travel Counsellors we have a very unique family ethos and strong sense of camaraderie, which was really reflected in the effort and support shown by our Travel Counsellors and staff at the event,” said Traveller Counsellors general manger Tracy Parkinson.

The annual Mother’s Day Classic (MDC) is the largest charity fundraising event in Australia, and across Australia is held in all capital cities, major metropolitan areas and 80 regional areas.

The MDC raises funds for breast cancer research, while supporting and remembering those afflicted with breast cancer.
