Kumuka claims still rolling in
By admin

Claims from the collapse of Kumuka have increased to $1.7 million and are still rising, the Travel Compensation Fund (TCF) has said.

More than 335 claims have been received, representing approximately 700 travellers. Total claims are expected to rise to in excess of $2m, as revealed by Travel Today earlier this month (August 1), with $400,000 already paid.

Meanwhile, a further $200,000 has been claimed following the collapse of Burswood International Travel, trading as Travelscene Concorde, while the demise of Travel Centre at Fyshwyck in the ACT has led to four claims valued at $31,144.

The TCF said its exposure following the collapse of True Blue Flights in Nerang, Queensland is not known although only two claims have been lodged.
