Adventures in Celtic lands and river journeys through Italy are among the latest additions for escorted touring and cruising in Europe.

QUITE AN INSIGHT

Insight Vacations, which recently launched its new 2013 Europe and Britain program, has introduced three new luxury itineraries to its Gold series. These are the nine-day Gaelic Treasures, a deluxe journey through Ireland; the eight-day Celtic Legends, which explores Scotland's castles and local legends, and the nine-day Spanish Gold, which focuses on art, architecture and cuisine. New additions to Insight's premium range include the nine-day Highlights of Portugal.

GLOBUS PLAYS FAVOURITES

Globus recently released its 2013 Europe brochure, with the latest additions including tours in Russia, Iceland, Poland, Scandinavia and Bohemia. The operator has also introduced new Local Favourites – hidden gems and behind-the-scenes activities such as beer tasting at the famous Hofbrauhaus in Munich and a stay in a French chateau. New tours for 2013 include the nine-day Gems of Umbria and Tuscany and the 11-day Warsaw, the Baltics and St Petersburg.

TRAFALGAR TIME

Trafalgar recently launched its 2013 Europe and Britain First Class program, which features 104 guided holiday options as well as insider inclusions such as Hidden Treasures, Unique Insights and Be My Guest dining experiences. The operator has also introduced a new concept called Inspired Holidays, consisting of three itineraries catering to the niche interests of battlefields, gardens and food.

WIFI WITH CONTIKI

Youth brand Contiki has launched its 2013/14 Europe program, adding more than 10 new itineraries across its Time Out, Concept and Camping tour styles. It has also introduced a range of exclusive new features such as WiFi available on all Contiki-owned coaches on the road. A discount of up to 10% is available for clients who book their trip before December 27.

ITALY FOR UNIWORLD

Uniworld recently launched its 2013 Europe and Russia program, which includes six new itineraries. In 2013 Uniworld will introduce its latest luxury build, Queen Isabel, which will sail along the Douro River in Spain and Portugal. It has also introduced river cruise journeys in Italy – the 13-day Splendours of Italy (cruise and land) and eight-day Venice and the Po River (cruise only).

MSC FOR CHRISTMAS

For clients who like the sound of heading out to sea this Christmas, MSC Cruises has recently released its range of Christmas cruises, covering several regions including Europe. Those who book the 11-night Christmas cruise from Genoa aboard newcomer MSC Divina will experience the day's festivities during a visit to Malaga in Spain, while MSC Splendida will celebrate Christmas Day in the Mediterranean.

EMIRATES EARLYBIRD

Emirates has released a raft of earlybird fares for travel to 33 destinations in the UK and Europe. To launch the offer, it has unveiled return economy fares to the UK, where Emirates flies to six ports including London Heathrow, Gatwick and Glasgow, with prices starting from $1586. A NEW LEASE ON LIFE

Vehicle leasing experts globalCARS have released pre-earlybird packages for brand new Citroens in Europe during 2013, with rates starting from $27 a day for bookings made by October 31. The deal includes free pick-up and drop-off throughout Europe.
