Dollar spurs Creative output on

Creative Holidays has responded to “consistent growth” in demand for African tours by offering a variety of new packages for first-time and repeat travellers.

Creative managing director Paul McGrath said the strength of the Australian dollar, combined with the success of schemes to bolster destination awareness, has made Africa a top priority destination for many of the company’s clients.

“We’ve seen a shift away from the view that an African holiday is a once in a lifetime experience,” he said, adding that a high proportion of bookings come from return travellers.
“We foresee the strength of the African market being maintained as the region continues to cultivate its place as a more mainstream holiday destination,” he said.

Among the new, tailored options are independent touring itineraries for the Cape and Kruger National Parks, from $1197, and structured trips in Johannesburg and the Pilanesberg National Park.

Creative expects the new Buffalo Rock Tented Safari, from $537, to be particularly popular, as it offers wildlife enthusiasts a prime vantage point for bird and animal spotting inside Kruger National Park.
