Air France KLM expands JQ partnership

Air France KLM expands JQ partnership
By admin

Air France KLM has extended its existing relationship with Jetstar to offer daily one-stop flights from the Gold Coast to Europe, via Japan.

Under the deal, passengers can fly with Jetstar from Coolangatta to Tokyo or Osaka, before connecting with an onward Air France flight to Paris or a KLM service to Amsterdam.

The group already has a similar arrangement with Jetstar from Cairns via Tokyo and Osaka, and from Darwin via Singapore and Bali.

Air France KLM regional manager Australia and New Zealand Tom Reeves claimed the size of the group’s global network, which includes more than 150 destinations in Europe, would see the Jetstar tie-up become popular with travellers.

“From Australia, our group already offers more than 500 departures per week through code share or commercial partnerships with a range of airlines,” he said.

“The Jetstar partnership not only increases our offering from this market. It also adds an exciting new option for travellers from the Gold Coast and a new way for European travellers to reach the Gold Coast.”

Food and drink, pillows, blankets, amenity kits and interlined baggage between airlines are available to Air France and KLM passengers travelling on Jetstar-operated routes.
