Four massive 27+ day voyages have arrived via Holland America Line
Holland America Line is unveiling four new ‘Legendary Voyages’ including a 28-day exploration of the South Pacific Islands from Sydney to Auckland, and a roundtrip 45-day cruise from New York to the Mediterranean.
As travellers’ interest in longer cruises grows, these region-centric journeys, which will depart in 2025 and early 2026, allow guests to foster deeper connections and engage more intimately with the destinations visited.
For an island-hopping adventure, Aussie/Kiwi guests can embark Noordam on 4 January 2026 for the new 28-day “Islands of the South Pacific” voyage. This itinerary sails from Sydney to Auckland, visiting 20 ports across seven countries. The ship will sail along the east coast of Australia, with four calls in Queensland and then calls at the Conflict Islands en route to Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji and Tonga, before three calls in New Zealand.
“Our 28-day Islands of the South Pacific voyage offers Aussie/Kiwi travellers a port-intensive itinerary, allowing them to see the world from their doorstep and explore a range of countries across the region. Aboard our mid-sized ship, Noordam, which comfortably accommodates 1,924 guests, you’re not just taking a trip — you’re indulging in a special experience at some of the world’s most unique ports,” said Ryan Taibel, vice president of sales and partnerships for Australia and New Zealand at Holland America Line.
Other highlights include the 45-Day “Ultimate Mediterranean and Atlantic Passage” voyage aboard Volendam, departing 7 October 2025, offering a a bucket-list sailing roundtrip from New York that spans the Mediterranean, inspired by a voyage operated by the line 100 years ago. As part of this voyage, Aussie/Kiwi guests will visit 20 ports — many of which were visited in 1925 — in Portugal, Spain, U.K., Italy, Algeria, Tunisia, Malta, Greece, Turkey and Egypt. Overnights include Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy; Istanbul, Turkey; and Alexandria (Cairo), Egypt. Guests will enjoy late departures from Gibraltar, U.K.; Istanbul and Alexandria.
