    As the NTIAs fast approach, this year AFTA has received the highest ever number of nominations.

    A record number of over 1700 nominations have already been submitted to this years NTIAs.

    “Thank you to everyone who has submitted the over 1700 nominations thus far to this year’s NTIAs. Your nominations and submissions help us to celebrate the very best that Australian Travel has to offer,” AFTA CEO Dean Long said.

    The National Travel Industry Awards will be held on the 18th of November and is to be hosted in Melbourne for the first time in recent years.

    This year’s Awards will feature 36 award categories, including 27 “Most Outstanding” judged categories, 7 “Most Popular” voted categories and 2 “People’s Choice” consumer campaigns.

    Several categories have been expanded to reflect the industry’s strong growth and expansion of scope, including additions to the Cruise, Airline, Tour Operator and Wholesaler categories.

    Singapore Airlines has committed to supporting the NTIA under a multi-year partnership, returning for the second year running as major sponsor.

    The 2023 NTIAs will be a celebration of the recovery and thriving success of the Australian travel sector and represent the great work of businesses and travel professionals.

    “We look forward to seeing everyone in Melbourne this November at the NTIAs, the pre-eminent awards for our Industry,” Long said.

    “The Awards are an excellent opportunity to come together to celebrate and acknowledge the innovation, determination and resilience of our people and our sector.”
