The newly-opened Travelodge Hotel at Sydney Airport has slow risers all set with their range of amenities for weary, exhausted and jet-lagged travellers. You can zombie-walk all the way from your room to the airport shuttle bus without a worry – this hotel has you covered.
Australia’s first ‘Silent Check-Out’ will launch at the hotel later this month – enabling you to catch those 5am flights without uttering a raspy word.
That’s right – you can drag yourself down to reception in the morning and point to a ‘Silent Check-Out’ poster with different options to make your morning a little more bearable – whether you need coffee, to stay another night or to pay your room bill.
If you think thats good, the hotel will also provide a pretty kick-ass alarm system – way better than your regular beeping thing.
The clock has been created by the geniuses over at Sensorwake, and is the world’s first Olfactory Alarm Clock.
WTF is Olfactory? The sense of smell. That’s right, this alarm clock wakes you up with different smells.
All you need to do is program it before bed to be gently awakened by the delicious smell of sizzling bacon, or freshly brewed coffee (before you go downstairs and get the real things).
The 209 room hotel features a buffet breakfast with unlimited bacon, comfy af beds, free Wi-Fi, and did we mention unlimited bacon? There’s also 24 hour room service for the severely jet-lagged.
The hotel is the 18th in Australia and New Zealand and is located just 500m from Sydney domestic terminal entrances – perfect for your next early morning flight.
