Travel Weekly presents Women in Travel
Travel Weekly will proudly host Australia’s first-ever Women in Travel Awards, with winners celebrated at a gala cocktail party in Sydney in November.
Inspirational women are all around us, leading, innovating and mentoring the next generation, and Travel Weekly will recognise this with its inaugural Women in Travel Awards.
While many industries struggle with gender equality, travel should be seen as a leading light given its huge range of top female executives, up & comers and equal opportunity employers.
We’re rightfully proud of the industry’s diversity, but more can be done. Together with launch partner Excite Holidays, Travel Weekly’s Women in Travel Awards will include mentoring and help drive the gender pay gap discussion.
Entries in the 16 categories are open to women at any level, from chief executives to new recruits. The awards are judged by a panel of top professionals and winners will be announced at a cocktail party in November, when we will also be revealing Travel Weekly’s Power List – recognising the 30 most influential women in the Australian travelscape.
To encourage the industry to get behind this noteworthy event, entries are free and self nominations are welcome, but if you work with, lead or know an exceptional woman, be sure to nominate them to enter into the awards. You can nominate as many individuals across multiple categories.
Nominate by emailing nominations@womenintravel.com.au or if you’re keen to get in early, Enter Awards Now by visiting www.womenintravel.com.au or by clicking here.
Key dates to remember: Entries close 30 September, finalists revealed 17 October. Gala cocktail award evening 17 November at Ovolo Hotel Wooloomooloo – limited spaces and Earlybirds are now on sale, buy tickets now to avoid disappointment.
Any queries, please contact Event Director, Daisy Melwani by emailing daisy@travelweekly.com.au or on 0401 216 294. Should you be interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Ruth Arimado on ruth@travelweekly.com.au or on 0413 524 740.
