You can now stay in a house made of chocolate in France

You can now stay in a chocolate cottage in France, and we’re not sure how we feel about it.

The cottage, located in Sèvres, in the region of Île-de-France, is only half an hour away from Paris, and was built by French master chocolate sculptor Jean-Luc Decluzeau.

It’s 18 square meters and made entirely out of chocolate. Yep. Even the mugs and books.

There’s a chocolate flowerbed outside, as well as a white chocolate lake – and took over 1.5 tonnes of chocolate to construct the property.

The first and only chocolate house in the world can accommodate up to four people. And we have some questions: will it melt? Can you eat it? How long will it last?

No word yet on whether the cottage will melt, but we can confirm that guests are not allowed to damage or eat the accommodation.

The cottage is also only open to guests for two nights: October 5 and 6. October 5 has already sold out, and booking will open for October 6 at 10 am on September 26 here. So mark that date down to go to France Hansel and Gretal style (without the child-eating witch, obvs).

After you check in, check out the chocolate fireplace and look up at the chocolate ceilings, you’ll also get to attend a chocolate workshop with Jean-Luc Decluzeau, where you’ll get to make (and take home) your own mini chocolate house!

Dinner and breakfast are also included – served in the cottages chocolate flower garden.

And if that doesn’t say ‘Home Sweet Home’, we don’t know what does.
