Why now is the best time to visit NZ

Get your dollarydoos ready; because the Aussie-New Zealand exchange rate is at an all time high.

Aussies travelling to New Zealand any time soon will be thrilled to hear that the AUD-NZD rate is almost breaking records.

You can get seven per cent more New Zealand cash than three months ago, according to Travel Money Group.

And New Zealand is a pretty popular destination among Aussies – almost 1.5 million of us hopped over to visit our neighbours last financial year – increased by over six per cent from the year before.

And seven per cent savings may not sound like a lot – but with New Zealand being such a popular destination it can make a massive difference.

Kelly Spencer, General Manager of Travel Money Group, advised Aussies to lock this rate down, stat.

“Australians love visiting New Zealand, and with the AUD-NZD exchange rate at a high, we expect to see more Aussies heading across the ditch and making the most of the favourable exchange rate,” she said.

“Travel Money Oz recommends making the most of the strong AUD-NZD rate and consider locking in their rate for upcoming trips and those that are later in the year,” she added.

Not going to New Zealand for a while yet? Don’t worry – you can lock this excellent rate down right now.

You can buy NZ cash online and collect it from any Travel Money Oz store, or load funds onto a pre paid travel money card.

You definitely don’t need a reason to go to New Zealand, but this is a pretty good one.
