Wendy Wu supports NSW farmers with delicious treats

Galahs were not willing to give up the trough for the cattle during a drought

Wendy Wu Tours is doing their bit to support Aussie farmers through one of the worst droughts NSW has seen.

And what better way to do it than to provide your colleagues with tasty treats!

yay-will-and-grace

Inspired by the efforts of the industry supporting Rural Aid, the team decided that a personal touch was in order.

Hence the “Buy-a-Bale Chari-Tea”, was created featuring an array of ‘home-style’ goodies for morning tea this week.

Staff rallied around this initiative, raising a significant amount of funding – matched dollar for dollar by the company.

A result to be proud of!

As part of the company’s new Corporate Social Responsibility suite, this was one of the most successful initiatives in the operator’s history.

“For 24 years, Wendy Wu Tours has been supported by regional Australians, both guests and travel agents,” Wendy Wu CEO Joe Karbo said.

“We are honoured to be able to send our support, both from the team and from Wendy Wu Tours.”
