Webjet growth strong

Online travel booking agent Webjet has said it is continuing to gain market share, with an update giving its shares a healthy lift.

The online travel company’s announcement of strong growth in bookings and market share saw a rise in Webjet shares.

Webjet managing director John Guscic says he “expects growth of about 28 percent in total transaction value to continue across the retail and wholesale businesses in the second half of 2015/16, ahead of the full-year results in August.”

Webjet shares were up 41 cents, or seven per cent, to $6.28 at 1105 AEST.
