Vanuatu roadshow a success

Kate Webster

Vanuatu travel agent roadshow wrapped up in Sydney, following two other successful events this week in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Kicking off in Brisbane at the start of the week, agents came together to meet with industry partners and test their Vanuatu knowledge during a relaxed, fun and informative evening while being entertained by vibrant traditional Vanuatu dancers.

The Sydney event, hosted by Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) Australia and joined by VTO’s general manager Linda Kalpoi and marketing manager Allan Kalfabun, provided an interactive platform for agents to get updates and news first-hand, and also learn how they can best match their customers’ needs with the diverse offerings of Vanuatu.

Vanuatu tourism industry members that attended the roadshow included: Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu; Espiritu Santo Tourism Association (ESTA); Warwick Le Lagon; Destination Asia Pacific Marketing; Destination Specific Marketing; White Grass Ocean Resort; Ratua Private Island Resort; Mangoes Resort; The Terraces Boutique Apartments; Irirki Island Resort & Spa; The Havannah, Vanuatu; Eratap Beach Resort; Vanuatu Escape; Barrier Beach House; Atmosphere Tours and Air Vanuatu was the airline sponsor of the event.

Nine major prizes were generously provided by the Vanuatu tourism industry with the winner of the trivia prize going to Mervi Rautiainen Dive Adventures, who won a trip to Vanuatu including flights with Air Vanuatu, four nights at Iririki Island Resort, two nights at Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu and two nights at White Grass Ocean Resort.
