Tourism Ireland hires new trade marketing and operations exec for Australia and NZ

Tourism Ireland has announced the appointment of David McMahon as its new trade marketing and operations executive for Australia and NZ.

From promoting the islands of Fiji for seven-and-a-half years to now promoting the island of Ireland, McMahon will be spearheading activities to engage with travel advisors across Australia and New Zealand.

Commenting on his appointment, McMahon said: “I am really excited to be promoting all of the incredible experiences that Ireland has to offer, including the natural warmth of the Irish people which makes it a truly must-visit destination.”

Sofia Hansson, regional manager at Tourism Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to have David join the team to help us continue strengthening the Tourism Ireland brand and our relationships with ANZ trade partners and suppliers.

“Our message for travel advisors is that tourism companies across the island of Ireland have been implementing all the required new health and safety measures, and will be ready to deliver a fantastic holiday experience for their clients.”
