Topdeck turns to video to woo travellers

With more young Australians turning to videos for inspiration on their trips, Topdeck Travel is seeking to tap into the trend with a new web series.

Cisco statistics have shown that by 2019, 80% of total consumer internet traffic will be video.

As a result, Topdeck has invested in its own video resources, with its first web series featuring its new Asia product and starring Rachel Phillips, also known as DJ Minx, and Laura McWhinnie of This Island Life.

In the episodes, the duo test drive an itinerary through Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Koh Samui and Bangkok.

“The web series highlights key experiences that Topdeckers will be living and breathing whilst they’re there, making it easier to pick the trip that suits their comfort level, style and cultural experiences,” global brand director Sarah Clark said.

“With smaller groups throughout the trips, local guides and vehicles relevant to each destination, these trips are an all-access guide to Asia, so Topdeckers can experience life like the locals do.”
