Tonga’s Rugby World Cup team breaks into song mid-flight in Japan

Passengers onboard a flight in Japan have been treated to some unique inflight entertainment courtesy of Tonga’s national rugby squad.

The players were on their way to Sapporo ahead of Tonga’s opening game of the Rugby World Cup against England when they suddenly broke into song, drawing applause from fellow passengers, according to ABC News.

The video was shared by the Rugby World Cup’s official Twitter account, describing it as “inflight entertainment on another level”.

Unfortunately, the team’s stirring impromptu performance didn’t inspire Tonga to a win against England, with the Sea Eagles going down 35-3.
