The science behind when you should travel

Wood desk from above. On the desk are objects to plan travel. There is a computer, tablet. There are guidebooks and brochures from popular travel locations including France, Italy, Canada, Britain, and Hawaii. On the tablet there is a website open for booking time at a seaside resort. There is an open book to write in with pencil and pen, and a travel checklist. There is a wold map open and a small retro camera. Modern flat design style.

When it comes to travelling, we here at Travel Weekly know anytime is a good time to jet off. Frustratingly, we have to factor in seasons, national holidays and pesky thunderstorms before we do.

Unplanned travelling is fun, but you know what’s even more fun? The likelihood of good weather and the certainty of awesome festivals and events.

To help you with planning your next adventure, travel booking site Last Minute has created a nifty, at a glance guide to the high and low seasons in countries around the world, so you can time your holiday to perfection.

They collected weather data and turned it into a GIF map to clearly display where in the world it is high, low and shoulder season during all 12 months of the year to help holiday seekers decide where to travel to during different times of the year.

Check out the interactive map below and click here to find out what’s the perfect travel time in your favourite destination.
