Skiers snowed for choice

Thredbo Resort and NZSki’s resorts of Coronet Peak and The Remarkables in Queenstown, plus Mt Hutt out of Christchurch are now connected by one inclusive lift pass, as NZSki becomes the newest member of The Mountain Collective.

In a Southern Hemisphere ski season first, The Mountain Collective collaboration between the independent ski destinations in Canada, USA, Europe, Japan, South America, Australia and now New Zealand will provide local skiers and riders lift pass savings in the Southern Hemisphere by connecting Thredbo, Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt on one single pass.

The Mountain Collective pass will allow Australian and New Zealand skiers and boarders to receive two days at Thredbo and two days at either Coronet Peak, The Remarkables or Mt. Hutt. The pass also includes two days skiing at every other Mountain Collective destination around the globe for only $529*AUD.  That’s 30 days of skiing or riding at 15 destinations around the world on one pass.

The Mountain Collective 16/17 season pass sale commences on 2 March 2016 priced from $529*AUD, the lowest lead in price available for a limited time only. Early pass purchases will also include an additional free bonus ski day at a Mountain Collective resort of choice, as-well-as kids ski passes (aged 12 years and under) for only $1.40AUD* for the entire season.

Mountain Collective pass holders will also receive 50% off any additional single day lift ticket purchases at all full member resorts, with no black out dates for the entire ski season.  For Australia and New Zealand, pass holders can ski Thredbo from only $59AUD per day or Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt in New Zealand for only or $49.50NZ per day.

Mountain Collective member resorts include: Aspen Snowmass, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, AltaSnowbird, Mammoth, Stowe, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows and Taos in America.  While Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine Village and Whistler Blackcomb make up the Canadian member resorts. Plus there are also three Mountain Collective affiliate resorts including: Hukuba Valley in Japan, Chamonix Mont-Blanc in France and Valle Nevado in Chile,

Existing premium season pass holders at both Thredbo and New Zealand’s member resorts will also enjoy the benefit of a 50% discount on single day lift passes at all full member Mountain Collective resorts in North America.

* AUD pricing varies based on daily exchange rate.  The Mountain Collective early bird pass US dollar price is fixed at $379US for adults and $1US for kids during the pre-season sale period.

    1. don’t understand why anyone would want a lift pass that covers a maximum of 2 days at any resort. Normally if go anywhere myself, wouldn’t even dream of going for less than a week.
